It’s no use argueing that you are a ‘thinking’ being, and not just a living being alone. This thinking ability alone is one of the greatest blessings man has over the rest of living beings. Why?
1. Thinking dictates becoming i.e through your thinking you can actually become the thing you think about.
2. Thinking taps into the invisible to create the visible.
Every innovative human creators of any kind tap their ideas from the world unseen, depending on their faith, trust and confidence in their hidden but influential faculty.
3. Thinking is a spiritual journey which connects the soul of man to the realm higher than him.
Some have said thinking or cogitating connects him to the Brightest Mind or Infinite Intelligence or whichever, without giving to debate, shedding light on this according to my line of faith, inspirations can either come from two sources, the Good Source (the Divine), and the evil source; now your type of thought will depend on which source you look up to. A terrorist for instance who schemes to annihilate lives, you can argue right that if for real he has a bright idea on how to go by it, it’s not from the good Creator, and a good leader that has inspired ideas to move people ahead must have got that from a Good Source. Agreed?
What are you thinking about all day?
Above are powerful thought-provoking few insights on what thinking does for a thinker. Alas, not everybody really thinks.
Don’t muddle up thinking with worrying or just flimy meadering daydream of the mind: it’s basically not it. You can’t really think and be left behind in life.
In my generation, watching the likes of christians, I have seen some not really practising thinking and meditation as they should, and so it’s telling on their overall performance.
(Emphasis on Christians as the Book says, ‘For as he thinketh in his heart so is he…’ Proverbs 23:7a; this is a clue to the power of thinking)
Then with the same observational stock-taking of weighing matters, I tended to have a look at people which are not so ‘religious’ (pardon that word if need be), but really, really do believe in thinking (which really live by giving to thinking to succeed), there seems to be a more sheer difference in their achieving factors, compared to people of Christian faith.
What is wrong? Among what may be wrong could be in thinking.
Then my meaningful conclusion has been that among other things, natural laws are as neutral as a plain mirror, as far as they are concerned, do them and have them! If you think ‘success’ (save that you have the right knowledge about the meaning of success), you will move towards success, better than being full of religion and hypocrisy.
It should interest you to know that thinking is a law of sowing and reaping. Little wonder, Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich,
Hear what Brian Tracy said,
‘The more time you spend in thinking about whom you are, in terms of your natural talents and abilities, what you want from your work, the better decision you will make, and the more you will accomplish.’ Brian Tracy
Thinking in this regards involves meditative, logical and analytical reasoning. Many discoveries are waiting for thinking exercise. You remembber that Archimedes was lost in thinking, until ‘Eureka’ experience happened to him. What if he didn’t think?
What are you thinking about? You can’t be thinking gloom and sadness and be glad. So you can’t be expecting success and afford to be ‘relishing’ the past failure.
You need to be thinking of success before you can ever succeed.
People don’t really think, we use less than a third-part of our brain capacity according to impeccable authorized source.
That great Irish playwright said that, ‘Few people think more than two or three times a year. I’ve made an international reputation for myself by thinking once or twice a week.’ That’s a revealing statement!
Check yourself…he has made an international reputation thinking twice in a week, and it showed a world of difference in him! Henry Ford referred to ‘thinking’ as the hardest task there is, which people flee away from.
Do you think success at all to increase your success rate?
