Everybody needs encouragement.
Many a time we assume the leaders, the bosses, the champions, the generals don’t really source out for inspiration. The fact is that they hardly live without relying on the strength which encouragement can deliver, and that’s why they can encourage their subjects.
In the same vein, we with gross misconception assume that leading is above giving encouragement; perish that thoughts! If your power of persuasion is wanting, I argue that you’ll need to get schooled and bag a degree on this to that effect, whichever way you can do it. But, it is not an herculean task!
Check through these timeless series of quotes on encouragement:
‘Encouragement is the oxygen of the soul.’
(George M. Adams)
‘Note how you feel after you have encouraged someone else. No other arguement is necessary to suggest that never miss an opportunity to give an encouragement.’
(George Burton Adams)
‘Pretend that everybody you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, Make Me Feel Important, not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life.’
(Mary Kay Ash)
‘If you want your children to improve, let them overhear the nice things you say about them to others.’
(Haim Ginott)
‘When we treat man as he is, we make him worse than he is; when we treat him as if he already were what he potentially could, we make him what he should be.’
(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
(Now, it encourages me for instance while people comment on this blog, I have had some thoughts-provoking comments here that have made me to re-read my articles. That’s an encouragement to write a more and greater insight! People do complement this blog, not minding the fact that it’s still half-done, because of my tight schedule, it really tells me that truth sharing is superior to any other sharing though)
Believe me, it’s an unwise servant or a subject that doesn’t position himself to earn his master’s complementary encouragements. You empower your courage feeding from and tending to encouragement; you get lifted through appreciation. If you then know how, make it a date to always source out how to be encouraged.
If you starve yourself with boost of encouragement, you will in the long run short on improvement. Do you underestimate why firms give inducements to individuals which excell within the organisation? it’s meant to encourage workers to add more value, increase their commitment to the vision and reward their steadfastness as well.
In conclusion: don’t go far from your source of encouragement. If encouragement be food, then eating it is the way to keep going!
Likewise be an encourager to someone, for that which you will sow you must reap from.
Everybody needs encouragement and you too. To be encouraged is to be inspired!
